Share the facts, fight the stigma and change minds on epilepsy

Epilepsy Medicare Foundation (EMF) arranged six training workshop for general practitioners, lady health workers, vaccinators, medical students, and youth and traditional influencers in different towns of Shaheed Benazir Abad division on prevention measures of epilepsy with youth, traditional influencers, patients, and others communities. More than 2,000 people are informed about epilepsy, its causes, and prevention measures to avoid the myth and misconceptions. Also 5,000 posters, leaflets, brochures and a community radio program are published. Free medical camps at Dadu, Sangher, Shahpur Chakkar, Shahdadpur, Moro, Nawabshah, Sakrand Buchheri cities/towns and monthly camp at our Neurology OPD PMC Hospital Nawabshah are arranged to provide counseling, treatment (free medication), and prevention measures of epilepsy among rural/urban communities. More than 4,000 patints have benefited so far.
